Mediterranean inspired, Georges on Waymouth, in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, has transitioned to a take away working model, Georges To Go…We will offer an inexpensive weekly menu with tasty, comfort food dishes with our feed me, heat & enjoy packs a specialty.

Our ethos of working and supporting local farmers and businesses over the years will always be maintained, and moving forward in our new offering we look forward to bringing our love of food and wine to your door, in the comfort of your own home.

Now with the news of restrictions easing from June 1st we cannot wait to re-open our doors for you, our amazing customers. We want to sincerely thank everyone for their support from purchasing, take away, a gift voucher or our popular georges to go…packs (which will continue). George & all the team are very grateful for the support shown to us during these unprecedented times. It inspires, motivates and makes us want to push boundaries we never thought possible. Georges To Go…Pre-orders open!

Our popular georges to go… heat & enjoy hampers are available to be ordered every week and we feature a different winery in our offering. Our packs are curated to feed 2 or 4 guests but we can arrange up to 10 if required. This week we are proud to be partnering with our sister company, Byzantine Wine Merchants and offering the 2018 APLA’ white blend or the 2016 APLA’ red blend by Oenops Wines from Northern Greece.

OENOPS WINES PC was founded in 2015 by Nikos Karatzas and it is the most newly established winery in the region of Drama. Itโ€™s main purpose is to produce the highest quality wines in limited quantities. The grapes come from personally selected vineyards from Drama, Northern Greece, that are cultivated from ambitious wine growers.

The white is a blend of Malagousia, Assyrtiko & Roditis. This wine combines freshness with maturity. It has attractive floral notes and possesses aromas of tropical and white flesh fruits. On the palate, it has a rich feel with a restrained acidity and a lingering fruit finish. The participation of a 40 year old Roditis at the blend helps to a more layered, dry & textured palate.

The red is a blend of Xinomavro, Cabernet Sauvignon & Limniona. The nose is intensively fruit-driven with aromas of fresh berries and tomato leaves. On the palate it is well balanced, while Xinomavro gives freshness and intensity and shows good vibrancy on the finish.
